MKB Solicitors LLP have recently negotiated settlement of compensation claims of £2,000.00 and £1,100.00 for a husband and wife after they spent a night being bitten by bed bugs whilst staying in a North Yorkshire hotel.
After they developed an itchy rash the couple attended Scarborough Hospital where it was confirmed that they had both been bitten by bed bugs. They reported their rashes to the hotel management. Whilst the hotel was initially apologetic, our clients instructed MKB Solicitors LLP to commence personal injury claims as they were dissatisfied by the hotel’s response to the incident.
Settlement of both claims was agreed which reflects the liability of the hotel for our clients’ injuries and financial expenses they incurred as a result.
