MKB appoint two new Trainee Solicitors

MKB Solicitors are pleased to announce the appointment of two new Trainee Solicitors.

Nicola Brown and Rhiannon Murphy have been employed by MKB for the past two years as Paralegals before their recent promotion. In that time, Nicola has assisted Steven Dawson, Senior Partner in our Private Client team, and Rhiannon has worked with Glyn Staves, Senior Partner in the Dispute Resolution Department.

Nicola and Rhiannon completed work experience with MKB three years ago whilst they were undergraduates at Sheffield Hallam University studying Law, which led to their recruitment as Paralegals. They have subsequently studied part time at BPP University in Leeds whilst working as Paralegals and have now successfully completed their LLM Legal Practice Course.

During their “Period of Recognised Training” they will train in a range of contentious and non-contentious legal areas to gain the experience and skill required to qualify as Solicitors upon completion.

Steven Dawson, Training Partner at MKB commented: “I’m delighted to see Nicola and Rhiannon take their next career steps and congratulate them both on their well-deserved promotions. They fit into our team well and have shown real drive and enthusiasm to succeed in our profession in the work they have carried out for us to date, coupled with their weekend studies. It is promotions such as these which demonstrate our commitment to investing in our people and supporting their ambitions and development, helping us to retain regional talent at our firm. It’s a great pleasure to be able to reward their efforts and I look forward to guiding them through their Period of Recognised Training.”

We wish them the best of luck.
