Today marks the end of an illustrious career as David Wright retires from MKB.
After over 50 years, most of which at the helm as Senior Partner, David bids farewell to MKB and the legal profession.
David has led MKB, formerly Mills Kemp and Brown, for over 5 decades with distinction whilst practising as a well-renowned corporate and commercial property lawyer. So well renowned in fact, that David scooped the Yorkshire Lawyer of the Year award in 2014, at a prestigious awards ceremony in Leeds, to mark an illustrious career in the law. It was a much deserved and fitting way to reflect all the hard work David has put in for clients and colleagues, and for keeping Barnsley on the business map!
David’s wealth of experience on all things business and property related, his strong links to Barnsley business, dry sense of humour and no-nonsense approach to dealing with issues on behalf of his clients, have made him the first point of call for many in our area.
His colourful personality will be sorely missed around our offices as will the wise and caring approach he brings to the development of our junior lawyers.
We wish David all the very best for a long and happy retirement with his wife Lyndsay and family, and thank him wholeheartedly for everything he has done for MKB and its many people over the years.
