She deals with all aspects of children law including cases initiated by the Local Authority and Private Law cases involving the parents and very often grandparents and non-related carers.  She covers all types of cases where children are involved including cases where Child Arrangement Orders (Live With) and (Spend Time With) Orders are made, cases where Special Guardianship Orders are made and Care and Adoption Proceedings. She has regularly dealt with other types of cases e.g. Involving specific issues like change of name/school and removal from the jurisdiction.

Lynn has many years experience of dealing with highly complex cases often involving a number of medical experts, psychiatrists and psychologists. As a solicitor advocate she represents parties involved in proceedings at all levels of the judiciary from Magistrates, District Judges, Circuit Judges and the High Court. She regularly represents children in their own right where they are of sufficient age and understanding to make their own decisions and give instructions in the proceedings and often through their Court appointed Guardian. Special Guardianship Orders are becoming increasingly utilised by the Courts as a means of securing a child’s living arrangements, Lynn regularly deals with such cases. She regularly represents parents whose first language is not English.

Lynn is Barnsley born and bred and has practiced extensively in all Courts in South Yorkshire.
