Harjit qualified as a solicitor in September 2016, having trained at a leading Yorkshire Law Firm. Harjit was an integral part of the Firm where he gained a vast amount of experience in various areas of Law. Harjit joined MKB in June 2016 where he undertook a mixed caseload focusing mainly on commercial and residential conveyancing. More recently, Harjit has shifted his attention to commercial conveyancing and commercial matters in general as a key member of the commercial department. He regularly acts on behalf of developers, commercial investors, Landlords and Tenants.
Harjit has a broad range of experience in Commercial and Residential Property (Sales and Purchases/Landlord and Tenant), the Incorporation of Charities, trusts and CIOs, the Registration of Trademarks in various countries around the world together with Right to Manage and Collective Enfranchisement. Secured Lending, Acquisitions and Disposals (individual and multiple sites), portfolio and Estate Management, Commercial Development are amongst other matters of the Law with which Harjit frequently deals. Harjit is fluent in Company and Commercial practice and frequently advises in connection with matters relating to Commercial Contracts, transactional positioning and the disposal or acquisition of Businesses and Companies.
Since joining MKB in 2016, Harjit has on average taken on between 250 and 300 property transactions per year. The majority of these have been residential (175). However, in the coming months and years Harjit is to focus more and more on Commercial matters whilst maintaining a light residential caseload.
