We are delighted to announce that Nicola Brown and Rhiannon Murphy have today qualified as Solicitors!
Both Nicola and Rhiannon joined MKB in September 2017 as Paralegals after completing their Honours Law Degree at Sheffield Hallam University. Nicola and Rhiannon then commenced their Training Contracts with us in September 2019 after successful completion of the LLM (Legal Practice) Solicitors Course at BPP University.
Nicola undertook her period of recognised training within the Family, Private Client and Employment departments. Nicola has now qualified as a Solicitor into our Family Department and will be advising on all areas of Family Law including Divorce, Finances, Injunctions and Children Act Applications.
Rhiannon has qualified as a Solicitor Advocate after achieving her SRA accredited Civil Higher Rights of Audience. Rhiannon undertook her period of recognised training in Dispute Resolution, Employment and Private Client before choosing to qualify into Dispute Resolution. Rhiannon will be advising both individual and commercial clients on a wide range of disputes such as but not limited to property disputes, contentious probate, debt, shareholder disputes and commercial contracts.
Steven Dawson, Senior Partner and Training Principal for Rhiannon and Nicola added: “When I first met Nicola and Rhiannon, they were in their second year of their studies at Sheffield Hallam University, and I worked with them as part of the University “Mock Trial” competition. I knew right away they had the talent and that spark of something to be very good solicitors down the line if given the right opportunity. Once they visited us on work experience and ultimately joined us as Paralegals, there was no stopping them! I couldn’t be prouder to be congratulating them on their qualification today. I really am very proud of them, and the solicitors they have now become.”
Congratulations to Nicola and Rhiannon on their qualification and we wish them the best of luck as they progress with us at MKB.
