SUPERJAM TEA PARTY – TUESDAY 11 AUGUST 2015 – 3PM UNTIL 5PM
Barnsley Rotary Club and Home Instead Sheffield & Barnsley extended a warm invitation to lonely/elderly/ socially/isolated people to come and join them for a Free Summer Superjam Afternoon Tea Party. Music and singing was provided by the lovely Susan St Nicholas singing classic songs of days gone by, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all. There was something for everyone; most had a sing, some tapped their feet, clapped and those who just couldn’t resist even took a spin around the dance floor! An amazing atmosphere was provided at the Holiday Inn with smartly dressed tables, napkins, tea/coffee, rounds of sandwiches, ‘super’ jam, clotted cream and deliciously warm scones.
What an awesome afternoon everyone had…..
Kathy Markwick of Home Instead said “The Superjam Afternoon Tea Party was by far the best one to date since we launched them a year ago. So pleased that MKB Solicitors joined the 120 guests – Susan St Nicoholas got everyone up singing and dancing – it was absolutely brilliant….”
The oldest client at Home Instead Senior Care Sheffield, Kay Travis, was also there celebrating her 105th birthday on Friday….City Taxis very generously provided a taxi for Kay and her CAREGiver, Enis Evans, to the Holiday Inn from Crosspool in Sheffield.
Fantastic feedback –
“Marvellous, best one we have ever been to”
“Loved every minute of it”
“Cannot wait for the next one”
