How long does it take?

Sadly there is no easy answer to this question, as the Court of Protection is a notoriously busy (and therefore notoriously slow) Court. A straightforward application to be appointed as Deputy can take many months to be finalised, and therefore it is essential that the application is well prepared and well managed. If any errors are made in the application this can make an already very long process even longer, and we would therefore encourage anyone having to embark on an application to the Court or Protection to contact us without delay so that we can advise and assist with getting the right order for you as swiftly as possible.

How much does it cost?

The fees for applications to the Court or Protection vary depending upon the order you are seeking. We always keep updated of these fees and can advise you of the costs the Court will charge at any given time.

Our fees for assistance with the various different types of application are usually set by the Court of Protection and we will always advise you of the charges for the particular work you need us to assist with.
