Liz Rodgers qualified as a Solicitor in 2002, since which time she has specialised in cases involving children.
Liz specialises in complex Court cases concerning children, particularly where Social Services are involved. She acts for either the child through their guardian, the parents or grandparents. Liz’s experience extends to representing the Local Authority in childcare proceedings.
She has been a member of the Law Society’s Specialist Children Panel for more than 12 years and is regularly appointed to act for children in care proceedings and also acts for children who are separately represented in Court proceedings between their parents for residence and contact She also acts for parents and other family members involved in cases of this sort, including where one or more of the parties is under a disability and represented by the Official Solicitor.
Liz has also had considerable experience in a large number of cases where children have been subject to serious injury. She also regularly conducts cases concerning sexual/mental abuse and chronic neglect.
She has vast experience of working in the Family Proceedings Court, County Court and High Courts and believes firmly in conducting her own advocacy and attending Court on behalf of her clients herself rather than instructing a barrister, as she has the most experienced knowledge of the case.
