A lot of our clients, once appointed as Deputy, are uncomfortable with the completion of the Annual Accounts for the Court of Protection. We are therefore often instructed by Deputies to go through the details of the income and outgoings that they have dealt with on behalf of the incapacitated person, and submit this information on their behalf to the Court of Protection.

Sometimes this is as a ‘one-off’ instruction in the first year of their role, with them then being happy to do that accounts themselves after that, however some clients choose to ask us for assistance with the accounts each year.
